Gloria Pale Ficklin Harris, 88, of Gonzales, LA, entered the gates of Heaven, peacefully, on Thursday, January 13, 2022, surrounded by her family. Gloria was born on August 18, 1933 and dedicated her life to raising her four children and supporting her husband as the owner of Burger Delight. Her 13 grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Gloria was a dedicated member of Household of Faith Church and was the perfect example of faith and love to everyone around her. Gloria is survived by her 4 children, Millard "Keith" Harris, Ronnie "Shack" Harris and wife, Polly, Paul "Frank" Harris, and Lisa Harris Gautreaux and husband Ronald; sister, Shirley Brown and husband Tommy; brother, Mark Ficklin; sister-in-law, Harriet White; 13 grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, Rachel, Ryan, Cassi, Brandi, Mendi, Casey, D'Shae, Blair, Zack, Rance and Emily; 34 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 45 years, Millard O. Harris; mother, Viola James Braud; stepfather, Clarence "Pete" Braud; father, Lee J. Ficklin; sister, Juanita Ficklin Tullier and husband, George; two brothers, Kenneth White and David Lee Ficklin and Daughter-in-law, Sondra L. Harris. A celebration of her life will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA on Monday, January 17, 2022. Visitation from 9am-12pm with a celebration service beginning at 12pm and interment to follow at Prairieville Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ryan Harris, George Tullier, Jr., Blair Gautreaux, A. J. Felix, Jason Janis, Blaise Martinez, Harry Griffen and Chris Alford. Honorary pallbearers: Casey Harris, Jimmy Tullier and Tommy Tullier. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Harris family would like to give special thanks to Jessica with The Heart of Hospice for her dedication and special care of our mom and maw-maw.
