Hansen was a wonderful son and brother. He gave so much to his family. He had a big and tender heart and was always fun with a quick and teasing personality. He was the big brother who was always there. He was born in Baton Rouge Oct 3, 1978 and died in Richmond, Va. Nov 23, 2013. He graduated from Catholic High in 1997 and played on the football team. He attended the University of Alabama and was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He won the IFC boxing championship as a welter weight. He served in the Air Force with the 10th Intelligence Squadron at Langley AFB and continued in the computer security field after his honorable discharge. He is survived by his father Ben Robert Franklin III, his mother Renee Scobee Belamy, his brother Rogers Hardin Franklin, his grandmother Dorothy Voorhies Scobee, his uncles Michael Gleason Murphy, Richard Foster Murphy, H. Evans Scobee, Geordie William Williams III, and his aunts Harriet Strickland Murphy and Marie Scobee Williams. He is predeceased by his grandfather's Ben Robert Franklin, Jr., L. Prescott Murphy, and Hansen Evans Scobee; and his grandmothers Grace Davidson Franklin, and Mae Adele Gleason Murphy. Hansen was a devout Catholic. He had a big and tender heart. We all miss him. Visitation at St. Aloysius Church Friday January 17, 2014, 10 am- 11am, Mass to follow. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
