Harris Gerald Fontenot, 73, a resident of Slaughter, LA, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was employed by Tembec for over 38 years. He grew up in Jackson, LA, where he graduated from Jackson High School in 1967. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He loved fishing, hunting, four-wheeler riding, and keeping up with the news. There will be a visitation at the New Life Church, 5263 South Commerce, St. Francisville, LA, on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am, conducted by Bro. Bobby Clark. Burial will be at Red Bluff Church in Greensburg, LA. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Terri L. Fontenot; three daughters: Crystal Incalcaterra; Dawn Burel and husband Matthew; Angie Howell and husband Daniel; one son, Gerald Brent Fontenot and wife Dixye; mother Robbie Lee Fontenot; one brother Terry Wayne Fontenot and wife Barbra; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece, and three nephews, along with many very close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Harris Fontenot, and grandson Devin Phenald. Pallbearers will be Ethan Phenald, Logan Phenald, Schyler Fontenot, Brennon Fontenot, Dakota White, Corey Aucoin, and Abigail Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Howell and Matthew Burel.

So sorry to hear of Gerald´s death. We went to Jackson High School together. Gerald was one grade ahead of me but we were all friends. The family is in my thoughts and prayers
