James David "Tiger" Hearld
James David Hearld. Dave, affectionately known as "Tiger" from classmates and "Sweetie" from his family and co-workers, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La. He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Old River in Bachelor, LA; a retiree of Georgia-Pacific in Port Hudson and a '68 graduate of Redemptorist High School. He is survived by his son, Jude Hearld and a daughter Jordan Hearld. Also survived by his brothers, Ronnie Whitaker and Pat Hearld; one sister Nancy Hearld Spurgeon and his devoted friend, Miss Gwen Bailey as well as many grandchildren and one great-grandchild. "Sweetie" is preceded in death by his son, Dusty Hearld and his parents, James and Hazel Hearld. There will be a celebration of Dave's life at a later date at Old River Landing. Family will post through social media and newspaper. Dave's family would like to extend a sincere "Thank You" to all the first responders, doctors, nurses and the entire medical staff at Ochsner Medical Center for all the love and attention shown to Dave and his family during this time. "Y'all raise a glass." Drink a Coors Lite; Shed no tears; I've had a good life.

I am so sorry! He was a kind and gentle soul. We lived next door to each other in the 80´s. He was a very good neighbor. I am praying for peace and comfort beyond understanding for his family and friends.
