Janette Effie Watts McMorris a resident of Colyell, La. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 3, 2022 at the age of 80. She was a faithful member of Colyell Baptist Church. She loved and served the Lord all of her life. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Silvie R. McMorris; children, Tammy Hughes (Danny), Marilyn Garnette Brignac (Fabian), Randall McMorris (Tina), and Gerald "G-Boy" McMorris (Cheryl); Grandchildren, Daniel, Jamie, Ashley, Dustin, Buffie, Brent, Amy Jo, Danielle, MeKayla, Jeremy, Tyler, and Garrett; 19 great grandchildren; Sisters, Juliette Thornton, and Luvader Pierson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Geneva Edwards Watts; brother, Garnilee Watts; sister, Genevieve "Mickey" Wise; Pallbearers will be, Daniel Hughes , Dustin, Jeremy, Brent, Garrett, and Tyler McMorris, Tucker Lobell, Justice and Bo Ortego, Devin Vallee and Doug Dalgo and Honorary Pallbearer, Barry Lewis. A visitation will be held at Colyell Baptist Church 19424 Hwy 42, Livingston, La. on Thursday, January 6th from 5 pm till 9 pm and will resume on Friday, January 7th at 9am till funeral service at 11 am. Burial to follow in Colyell Community Cemetery. Services conducted by Bro. Jeremy Glascock and Bro. Bill Pianki. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Angie and Regina.
