Jimmy "Buddy" Weaver, 68, resident of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. He was born December 28, 1953 in Coos Bay, Oregon, the son of the late Jim Alex Weaver and Burnel Goldman Weaver. He is also preceded in death by one stepson Eugene Neal Haley III. Buddy lived in Gloster for many years and attended school in Gloster. He served in the U.S. Navy, and worked at various plants around the Gloster area, the last being the River Bend Nuclear Power Station in St. Francisville, La. He is survived by his wife, Victoria L. Weaver, one son, Jimmy D. Weaver II and Tiffany, two daughters, Laurie Johnson and James, Melissa Bonds and Jamie, three stepchildren, Angela Nations and Bobby, Tianna Perrone and Ebb, James Hayes, and AV; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanette Watson and Sissy Weaver; one brother, Jeff Weaver and Debbie. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday, 10:00 am until time of services at 12:00 Noon Sunday, officiated by Joe Weaver. Interment will follow in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster, MS. Pallbearers are Jason Dunn, James Hayes, Larry Haley, Robert Harrison, Raymond Dempsey, and Luke Dempsey. Bobby Nations will serve as an alternate pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Cancer Center for children in Memphis, TN.
