"Well done thy good and faithful servant." John Hayes departed for his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Wilkinson County Senior Center in Centreville, Mississippi. He was a 98-year old World War II veteran and native of Woodville, MS. John leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Deloris Johnson (Sam) of Baton Rouge, LA, three grandchildren, Frederick Johnson, Sr. (Tina) of Baker, LA, Glenda Johnson of Dallas, TX, and Petrina Johnson-Knighton (Weldon) of Dallas, TX, five great-grandchildren, Frederick Jr., Brandon, LaShonda, and Jeremy, of Baton Rouge, LA, and Aydon of Dallas, TX, and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, and friends. Viewing at Miller & Daughter Mortuary on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 4-6 pm; viewing resumes at Magnolia Baptist Church, Woodville, MS, on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10:00 am until service at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Harold Smith. Interment at Kingsford Baptist Church Cemetery, Woodville, MS. Respectfully, social distancing and wearing of masks is requested.
