A devout Christian, Julia Mae Ford Patrick passed away at her home on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 81. She was born September 4, 1939 to Harry C. Ford and Janie Anderson Ford. Julia Mae (Nana) was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong cattlewoman, gardener, and a retired teacher of West Feliciana Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Patrick, Jr. and daughter, Julie Delaney Martin. She is survived by her son, John M. Patrick III (Phyllis) of St. Francisville; daughters, Janie McCann of Woodville and Joy Wade (Jay) of Buford, Georgia; grandchildren: Dennis Creel, Johnny and Jamey Patrick, Grant Delaney and Alexandra Whitman, Field, Patrick, Lee and Daniel McCann, Joseph and Joshua Wade; great-grandchildren: Betsy Kate and Braxton Whitman, Addie Rose and Colter Delaney, Abigail Patrick, Teddy McCann and Lil' Field McCann. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her kind words of encouragement, her love for animals, and her cornbread fritters. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

My sweet Kindergarten teacher at Tunica Elementary. She taught me to jump rope like a pro. Her kindness and gentle approach will forever be in my heart. She was the epitome of what a teacher should be. Heaven gained an angel.
