Kathleen Ponville Landry, a native of Belle Rose and resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the age of 73. She had a passionate love for her church, family, friends, traveling, gardening, and shopping. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 54 years James D. Landry, Jr.; sons, Mark (Melissa) and Ron Landry; four grandchildren, Ryan, Sydney, Mitch and Mason Landry; one great-granddaughter, Hayden Landry, a sister, Norma Butler, and two brothers, Percy Ponville, Jr.(Gale) and David Ponville (Janet). Preceded in death by parents Percy and Ethel Ponville, brother-in-law Robert Butler, Sr., and nephew Robert Butler, Jr. Visitation to be held at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a mass of Christian burial, Saturday, November 27, 2021. Interment will take place at the Belle Rose Cemetery. A special thank you goes out to doctors Laura Falcon and Daniel LaVie, Hospice in His Care, nurse Natalie, dear friend Claire Brandt, godchild Dana Trahan and Niece Donna Lynn Meche.

On the day I met Kathleen in school, she had the most warm smile, and was the sweetest friend. Her picture here looks just like I remember her. My condolences to her family. You spent time with one of the nicest people I have ever known. Thank you for sharing her with us.
