I have known Leda and Darrell since 1996 when I started the Celiacs of Baton Rouge Support Group. Leda got in touch with me, and we became fast friends. She had Celiac Disease and immediately wanted to help with the group. She volunteered her services, and we ran the group for 22 years. She was a jewel and an outspoken crusader for those suffering with celiac disease. She became very knowledgeable on the subject, and we spent many hours converting her great recipes into gluten-free recipes. She was such a beautiful, caring lady and was a delight to our group, and became my right hand in charge. Her voice, laugh and smile were contagious, and everyone loved her! She always said, "Mary, we are 'kindred spirits'." Now my dear friend you have gone to a Heavenly World, and I will truly miss you!!
