A resident of Baker, he died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. He was 90. Visiting was at Richardson Funeral Home, Slaughter, on Wednesday, June 24, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Slaughter, on Thursday at 11 a.m., conducted by Sidney Day. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by five daughters, Katie Mitchell, Peggy Gross Clarkson, Claudia Gross Davis, Donna Gross Hills and Eloise Anderson; six sons, K.C., Jesse, Nimrod, Percy, Robert and McKinley Gross; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, friends and other relatives.
