To: The family of the late Oena Hill
I remember all too well the many meetings and church conferences that our mothers attended together throughout the Alexandria - Thibodseaux District. Virginia Lewis and Oena Hill have left a legacy in the AME church that will never be forgotten.I know these missionaries are rejoicing together.
It is with deepest sympathy that I send this condolence to you. May the memories you share help the burden you bare. God bless and keep you all and may He strengthen you in the days ahead. We should always be thankful to God for two lives well lived.
Virginia Lewis Parker (Bethel)

Words cannot begin to express how much my family and I feel for you right now. When I first began working with St. Luke's Youth Choir I found Mother Oena there. She would quietly walk up the center isle, make her way to her seat, and worship the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul. Age was only a number to her because she made her way to church to give God all the praises. I would often say what am I complaining about with these few aches and pain. Mother Oena is twice my age and she's here with no complaints. I am sorry I could not be with you all but I will certainly keep you all in my prayers. Stay strong family and St. Luke it's just another soldier going home!!!!
