On Sunday, December 26, 2021, Robin Wayne Poirier, loving father and Papi passed away at age 71. Robin was born on September 22, 1950 in Hammond, LA to Leon and Andrein Poirier. He graduated high school from St. Paul's and attended Loyola and UNO for his undergraduate degree. He received his law degree from LSU and practiced law until he retired. He loved reading, history, people watching, good food and good friends. Upon retiring he enjoyed running his RV park, Sun Roamers, in Picayune, MS. Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Andrein, his sister, Loyd Poirier Laird, the love of his life, Gail Gully Poirier, his daughter, Monique Poirier, his father-in-law, Durward Gully, his mother-in-law, Nell Gully, his brother-in-law, JW Grand, his niece, Krista Owens, and his nephew Ross Grand. He is survived by his daughter, Andrein Talbot and her husband, Tustin Talbot, his son Preston Poirier, his grandchildren, Kayden Poirier and Sadie Davila, his brother, Gary Poirier, his sister-in-law, Bonnie Poirier, and his sister-in-law, Barbra Gully Grand. Honorary pallbearers include, Gary Poirier, Preston Poirier, Tustin Talbot, Richard Laird, Michael Laird, Jeffery Laird, Hank Poirier, John Poirier, Rolaid Carrier, Tom Gainey, Mike Herbert, and George Crawford Jr. Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Rabenhorst, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Visitation will be from 1 pm until the memorial service at 2 pm. We invite everyone to wear our dad's favorite color, blue, in honor of him. Robin was an inspiration facing down so many of life´s challenges. It was so good to Re connect with him at the Saint Paul´s Class of `68 reunion. You will be missed. Anna and I send condolences to the family.

Gary, I´m so sorry about Robin! I always loved him (and you) growing up as a child. I remember him always being sweet and kind. What a wonderful legacy we can all strive for! RIP, Robin!
