He was 63 years old when he entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 20, 2015. He was reared in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a 1970 graduate of Southern University Laboratory School and a 1974 graduate of Southern University where he was commissioned into the United States Navy. Visitation at Beech Grove B.C., 9455 Elm Grove Garden Dr., Rev. Marshall Hall, pastor, Friday, November 27, 2015 from 9am until service at 10am, conducted by Rev. Lafayette Veal; interment at Louisiana National Cemetery. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Veronica (Dante) and Angelita; devoted parents, Miles and Mary J. Lawrence; siblings, Gilda Wilson (Irvin), Lydia McCaleb (Larry) and Dedra Evans, Gregory (Laura) and Darryl (Elizabeth); three grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Byron Landingham and Carolyn Clay; Arrangements entrusted to Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary.

Even after so many years, it feels like not much time has passed. Daddy, we miss you so very much. Your grandchildren are thriving, you would truly be so proud of them. You are dearly missed, eternally treasured and loved-greatly loved beyond measure.
