"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7 Rose Marie a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 74. She was a resident of Plaquemine and native of Bayou Goula, LA. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 8:30am to 12:30pm with Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine at 1pm. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Rose Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Thomas LeBlanc, Sr.; children, Christina LeBlanc Cedotal and husband Danny, and Tommy LeBlanc and wife Renee; grandchildren, Jace and Grant Cedotal, and Clay and Kate LeBlanc; sister, Annie Canella LeBlanc and husband Ronald; brother in law, Ronald Gilchrist; and nieces and nephews, Dana LeBlanc Dauzat and husband Jeremy, Lacey LeBlanc Vitteri and husband Dan, and Ronald Gilchrist, Jr. Preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lucy Michelle Canella; sister, Frances Canella Gilchrist; nephew, Cyril Gilchrist; and mother and father in law, Thomas and Lillian Blanchard LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Tommy LeBlanc, Danny, Jace and Grant Cedotal, Clay LeBlanc and Ronald Gilchrist, Jr. Rose Marie was a devout Catholic who believed family came first. As a dedicated Maw Maw, she insisted on caring for her grandchildren daily while her children were at work. She cared for all of her elderly Aunts throughout their lives.
