On June 29, 2021 Tanya Lamelle Joshua-Thigpen, 59 made her earthly departure in Baton Rouge, LA surrounded by family and friends. She was born March 5,1962 and raised in DeQuincy, LA. She was loved by her husband of 33 years and family and friends as well. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, church, and distributing her love to everyone. She leaves to cherish her father, Benjamin Hardy, Sr., husband, Larry Thigpen, Sr., children, Marlon Rodgers, Marshaletta (Ishmael) Wheeler, Larry Thigpen, Jr., Robert (Merissa) Thigpen, Tianna Joshua, Imani Thigpen, and Starr Thigpen. Her legacy lives through her grandkids, Hillary Jr., Kamron, Dominik, Mahzi, and Taeyon. Services will be held 11 a.m., (viewing begins at 9 a.m.) Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 9700 Scenic Hwy, with interment following in Winnfield Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Rd.
