As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15. Teri Ann Perry-Copponex entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 55. Teri is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Bart Copponex, and her 2 children, the greatest joys of her life, Caroline and Cameron. She is also survived by her mother Mae Perry, sister Missy Perry (Clint Copponex) and brother Rusty Perry, in-laws Keith and Teri Copponex, Charmagne and Paul Sagona, Sherri Kleinpeter, Greg and Elaine Copponex, and many niece and nephews. Teri was a longtime teacher/librarian in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, most recently at Bernard Terrace Elementary. Teri was an avid reader and the perfect day for her was spent at home relaxing in the hammock with a good book. She was passionate with sharing her love of books with everyone around her. For Teri, her family and her faith were everything. She attended The Chapel in the Oaks. Her home was the go to place for countless gatherings for family and friends. Teri was dearly loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but we are comforted knowing that she is with her Savior in heaven. Arrangements are as follows: Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Tuesday 11:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:30 p.m., burial to follow. Services will be conducted by Reverend Rick Wright. Pallbearers are Lee Kleinpeter, Ben Sagona, Cody Coponnex, Christian Copponex, Greg Lawrence, and Mark Shumake. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Barnes, Joey Michael, and Laurent Vande Putte. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Main Library (children's section), 7711 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

Sending Teri's family my deepest condolences. I worked with Teri for many years at BT. She was such a wonderful librarian for the students and a wonderful friend and coworker to me. When my husband was sick in the hospital, I remember her coming to the hospital to be with me. She had a good heart. I will miss her very much. To her family and friends I am ending huge hugs, lots of love, and peaceful prayers.

My prayers and thoughts are with you Bart and your family. I taught at Ryan Elementary with Terri for several years. She was a wonderful person always willing to help others and give in anyway that she could. She was always talking about you, Caroline and Cameron. She was so proud of each of you. She also treasured her friendship and your families with Laurent. She truly was a special person.
