Terry Edward Martin, aka Poor Boy (his CB handle), age 69 of Denham Springs, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Terry was born in Hattiesburg, MS on November 18, 1952 to Pearson Yawn Martin and Myrtis Boyd Martin. Besides his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry, Jimmie Lou, and Harold Martin. Terry was the devoted husband of Kolleen Sanders Martin. He was a proud father of Jake R. Martin (Emily), Tiffany Martin Glynn (Jamie), and Lori Martin Sibley (Jesse). Terry was the loving PawPaw of Daniel Loper (Madison), Mackenzie, Emily, Tripp, Tucker, Levi, Ezekiel, Booth, Silas, and Molly-Jo. He was delighted to include Jase, Caroline and Anna. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Terry at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd, Denham Springs, LA 70726 on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with funeral service at 1:00 PM. The family has chosen a private graveside service. Terry was a lover of the outdoors. He especially liked being out on the shrimp boat with his friend Bobby. He also enjoyed his patio, building campfires, and frying shrimp and deer meat for his family and friends. His face would light up when telling about finding "roadside treasures"; one never knew what might be in the back of his truck. Terry had a true servant's heart. He was always willing to help widows and others in need, whether it was sitting with sick friends, building numerous wheelchair ramps, or doing maintenance work for the elderly. Special thanks to Dr. Daniel LaVie and The Hospice of Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to his church, New Bethlehem Baptist Church or The Hospice of Baton Rouge.
