Thurlow A. Conaway, Jr., resident of Prairieville and native of New Orleans, LA passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the age of 73. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and watching his grandsons play sports. He also loved hunting, fishing, and baseball. Thurlow was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Scuderi Conaway; daughters, Carla Conaway Madni and husband Azad M. Madni, and Melissa Conaway Sybrandt and husband Mark Henry Sybrandt; four grandchildren, Laila Azad Madni, Ashna Azad Madni, Peyton Conaway Sybrandt, and Austin Conaway Sybrandt; and brother, Gene Raymond Conaway. Thurlow is preceded in death by his father, Thurlow Anthony Conaway, Sr.; mother, Delores Theobold Conaway Bruno; and brother, Christopher Theobold. Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 8:30 am until service time. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am. Pallbearers are Peyton Conaway Sybrandt, Austin Conaway Sybrandt, Mark Henry Sybrandt, and Alvin Anthony Satches, Jr. Inurnment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
