To Mr. Wright's family: I met him in 2010 while attending First United Methodist Church. It was my first time to visit FUMC, and I was looking for a Sunday School class. I introduced myself to Walt, and he introduced me to the rest of the class. He was a fine gentleman, and he made me feel welcomed. I hope and pray the Holy Spirit will comfort you in the coming days and months over your loss. God bless you.

As fine a man as I have ever known. A man filled with love and kindness for all his fellow human beings. He was my neighbor since 1971 and I was a better person for having known him.

To Mr. Wright's family - I am so sorry for your loss! I'll be praying for your strength through this trying time. Mr. Wright was my supervisor for only three years but we developed a friendship that lasted till the end! At a recent luncheon with him and Mrs. Carolyn and Ella Kirby, he was asking about everyone in my family and how they were doing. This is just a testament to the type of caring person he was. He will be missed!

Walt was my boss for many years. We had lots of laughs together and recently shared lunch with him and Carolyn and Dana Jackson. So glad we did. He was never serious. Always laughing and being silly even when he didn't feel good. Gonna miss him and truly love him.

My sincerest condolences for your loss, Carolyn, David, Dennis, Peggy, and to all Walter's beloved neighbors and friends during this time of sorrow. I pray that you find comfort in the many years of good memories shared.

Walter was always there with a smile, joke, story, or a helping hand. He never met a stranger. He loved his golf! He was always willing to help others and volunteered his time to anyone that asked. Walter loved the Lord and it reflected in all he did. Walter was kind, accepting, generous, and had a great sense of humor. I am deeply thankful to have known him for 19 years.
